Course Summary
A Zero Trust security model, when implemented by an organization, reduces external and internal threats to systems and data. Preparing for a Zero Trust initiative is paradigm shifting for organizations that are migrating to the Cloud and/or transforming legacy network-based controls for Authentication (AuthN) and Authorization (AuthZ). This course prepares you to be successful by presenting foundational principles, threat scenarios, reference architectures, and a policy governance framework that can be applied to reduce risk.
Modules Included
This course includes the following three (3) modules: 1) Foundations in Zero Trust Architecture 2) Creating a Zero Trust Strategy 3) Implementing Zero Trust Architectures
Audience or Who Should Take This Course
Anyone with a computer science or cybersecurity background interested in learning to implement zero trust.
Experience Required
Learners must have a foundational understanding of basic security concepts including authorization, authentication, and a working understanding of networks and firewalls. A basic understanding of zero trust is recommended.

This course is a text-based, two-hour Express Learning PDI offering. Throughout this course, learners experience the following activities:

- Animated and interactive graphics
- Outlined processes
- Mini case (application of knowledge)
- Knowledge Checks, Summary Checks, and Final Assessment
CPE Reporting
CPE credits earned for this course may be eligible for continuing professional education credits for non-(ISC)² certifications. Please visit the continuing education requirements established by the credentialing organization for eligibility.
Members: Starting January 1st, 2022, CPE Credits for (ISC)² credentials will be reported by Member Services on the 1st of every month. Please allow 10 business days for processing. Courses completed prior to 1/1/2022 will need to be self-reported by members and associates through the (ISC)² CPE Portal accessible via www.isc2.org using your member login credentials.
