Security professionals are uniquely qualified to positively impact the security culture of an organization. However, a strong and talented security team alone cannot protect an organization from today's cyber risk as it is the people, not the technology, that are most common targets for those trying to attack our organization's systems.
This course is designed to help security professionals develop and implement an effective security awareness program that goes beyond compliance and fosters a culture of security as everyone's responsibility.
This course includes the following four (4) modules: (1) Facilitating a Focus on Security, (2) Creating Security Awareness Programs that are Fun and Engaging, (3) Driving Behavioral Change, (4) Implementation and Maintaining Momentum.
Audience or Who Should Take This Course
Experienced cyber, information, software and infrastructure security professionals wanting to develop and implement an effective security awareness program within their organization.
Security professionals that have achieved (ISC)² certifications and/or serve in position responsible for ensuring a strong cyber security program within their organizations.
How This Course Works
Each module begins with an introductory presentation that introduces key concepts based on specific learning objectives, incorporates knowledge checks to ensure understanding and provides access to relevant resources. You will then be guided to read articles and view videos that provide supports the specific learnings of each module by providing practical insights from security professionals.
Each module will conclude with an interactive exercise that will guide you to complete sections of the Security Culture Implementation Guide. After completing the guide and the courses, you will have the beginnings of your own program customized to your company and specific situation.
Finally, at the end of the 4th module you will be asked to take a final assessment. Please note that you must score 70% or higher on the final assessment prior to receiving a certificate of completion and earning 4.0 continuing professional education (CPE) credits.
Please make sure at the end of the course that you download and retain the certificate of completion as proof of credits earned. CPEs earned for this course may be eligible for continuing professional education credits for non-(ISC)² certifications. Please visit the continuing education requirements established by the credentialing organization for eligibility.
