Much research has been done on the need to balance softer professional skills with technical skills to be successful in the work place. This holds true for cybersecurity professionals wishing to advance their careers and become better leaders and influencers within their organizations. This online interactive self-paced is designed to help you gain a better understanding of how emotional intelligence can increase productivity, identify methods for efficient decision making, review strategies for effective communication and understand the role non-verbal communications play in shaping professional perspectives.
This course includes the following four (4) modules: (1) Emotional Intelligence – Understanding emotions to increase productivity. (2) Decision making – Making strategic and balanced work place decisions. (3) Communications – Effectively communicating with others. (4) Non-verbal communications – Impact of body language and facial expressions on professional perspective.

How This Course Works
In this course, you will follow Maria, an experienced security professional hoping to be considered for a leadership role within her company. Maria has demonstrated her technical skills but to be seriously considered for advancement Maria recognizes the need to strengthen her interpersonal skills.
Throughout this course by viewing instructional content and following Maria’s journey you will gain a better understanding of how emotional intelligence can increase productivity, identify methods for efficient decision making, review strategies for effective communication and understand the role non-verbal communications play in shaping professional perspectives.
At the end of the course you will be asked to take a final assessment. Please note that you must score 70% or higher on the final assessment prior to receiving a certificate of completion and earning four (4) continuing professional education (CPE) credits.
Please make sure at the end of the course that you download and retain the certificate of completion as proof of credits earned. CPEs earned for this course may be eligible for continuing professional education credits for non-(ISC)² certifications. Please visit the continuing education requirements established by the credentialing organization for eligibility.
