Course Summary
You got the CISO. Now what? A New CISO’s Guide to Success Course Description: You reached your goal of becoming a CISO. Now what? This self-paced interactive and immersive training experience leverages thought leadership from industry experts to help you develop a plan for your first 30, 60 and 90 days in this new role.
Modules Included
This course includes the following five (5) modules: (1) Defining the Next Generation CISO (2) Understanding your New World (The First 30 Days) (3) Laying the Foundation (The Next 60 Days) (4) Building Organizational Success (The next 90 days) and (5) Leadership & Management as a CISO.
Audience or Who Should Take This Course
Experienced cyber, information, software and infrastructure security professionals who recently entered into a leadership role, have been serving in a leadership role or are aspiring to serve in a leadership role and want to ensure their success.
Experience Required
Familiarity with security concepts.
How This Course Works
Each module begins with an introductory presentation that introduces key concepts based on specific learning objectives, incorporates knowledge checks to ensure understanding and provides access to relevant resources. You will then be guided to read relevant thought leadership via articles, blogs and presentation written by industry experts that expand on the concepts covered in the introductory presentation. The module will conclude with an interactive exercise designed to reinforce learning. All learning components in each module must be completed before advancing to the next module.
At the end of the course you will be asked to take a final assessment. Please note that you must score 70% or higher on the final assessment prior to receiving a certificate of completion and earning four (4) continuing professional education (CPE) credits.
CPE Reporting
CPE credits earned for this course may be eligible for continuing professional education credits for non-(ISC)² certifications. Please visit the continuing education requirements established by the credentialing organization for eligibility.
Members: Starting January 1st, 2022, CPE Credits for (ISC)² credentials will be reported by Member Services on the 1st of every month. Please allow 10 business days for processing. Courses completed prior to 1/1/2022 will need to be self-reported by members and associates through the (ISC)² CPE Portal accessible via www.isc2.org using your member login credentials.
